When and where
9 May, 18:45-20:45, Yoga Futura Neukölln (Weigandufer. 18)
Who is this for
You want to move past creative blocks, deepen your self-trust, or simply spend two hours befriending your own brain. Whether you are an artist or simply someone looking to navigate life with more imagination, this workshop offers the tools to rewire your "Creative Anatomy." Either you are a yogi or you are not. Either you think of yourself as creative, or you are not. Just come as you are.
Teacher
Maja Gruveaus
Maja was introduced to yoga early in her life, by secretly reading the random yoga books she found at home. In her late teens, she started to practice and eventually started teaching after her apprenticeship in Stockholm and studies in India. For Maja, yoga and creativity are inseparable. She believes we are all inherently creative beings because creativity is not just a thought, it is a physical force living within our bodies. Through her own practice, she has felt this force grow, observing how the body often processes shift and resistance long before the mind catches up. By connecting her personal experience with the study of Neuroaesthetics, Maja bridges the gap between somatic felt-sense and scientific inquiry. She invites you to join this dialogue between science and soul.
What to Expect:
● The Sensory Entry: A guided meditation to awaken the Somatosensory Cortex, exploring how your unique history filters the world around you.
● The Flow of Change: A yoga sequence to bypass the "Executive Brain" and breathe through the Frustration Gap, the moment where old habits dissolve and new neural pathways are born.
● The Joy of Play: Simple practices to light up the brain’s Reward System, reminding your nervous system that creativity is a state of safety and pleasure.
● The Sacred Idle: Restorative Yoga to enter the Default Mode Network (DMN), the "inner studio" where memories and dreams reside when there is no task to complete.
Creative Anatomy is an invitation to stop waiting for the spark and start inhabiting it. This workshop explores how movement becomes a mirror for our inner creative processes, revealing where we feel open, grounded, or stuck. Using a neuroaesthetic model called the Aesthetic Triad, we map how our sensory-motor systems, reward circuits, and personal meaning-making intersect to form the foundation of our creative energy.
This workshop is open to all levels, no prior experience necessary.
Available with USC or Studio Memberships/Class packs + €18, payable in studio or online or €25 Regular. Please inquire about reduced pricing.
