This clinic will go into an exploration of all the movements of your spine, the surrounding muscles, and look at different families of poses and actions commonly practiced in yoga. For those who experience back pain (upper or lower) or have limitations with certain asanas, this clinic will help address various modifications you can take for the longevity of your practice.

Who is this for

Yoga practitioners of all levels interested in learning more about what the spine does, the anatomy of the spine, how to address limitations within poses, and alleviate back pain (upper and lower).

She turned to yoga after being diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in her lower spine at age 24. Since then, she’s avoided chronic lower back pain and numbness as a result of a regular yoga and movement practice.

What will we explore

  • A 60-minute practice that integrates all movements of the spine

  • Anatomy of the spine

  • Evaluate different families of poses/actions commonly practiced in yoga

  • Modifications, adjustments, and prevention strategies for those experiencing back pain (upper and lower)
